Chinese Neolithic Pottery – Majiayao


Chinese funerary urn used to store grains that were left in a tomb to accompany the dead in the afterlife. Molded by hand and shaped with paddles and scraping tools, the graceful vessel has been decorated with different designs in a dark purple.
