Burmese Bronze Buddha – Shan

The bronze figure has all the attributes of a Shan Buddha, the oval face with eyebrows placed high on the forehead and a small mouth upturned in a half smile. The Buddha sits in the Lotus position with the right hand calling the earth to witness. The triangular base has an unusual design of several cross symbols that were originally inlaid with semi precious stones.
