Korean Altar Chair (Pair)- Gyoui PRICE UPON REQUEST
this unusual pair of ancestor chairs is part of a typical Confucian memorial altar which were considered to be the ancestors’ homes. A memorial tablet and incense were placed upon them. The chair would stand in front of a lower table with offerings to the deceased. The unusual size of this chair indicates a family of high social standing.
