Chinese Clay Model of a Kiln

$930.00

Very unusual piece of contemporary pottery molded in the tradition of antique Chinese funerary objects. The basic structure of the kiln is very similar to the bun shaped kilns in Northern China’s Pengcheng (Hebei Province) which had been in use since the early Song Dynasty and became an important production site for Cizhou wares.
