Chinese Wooden Lintel Ornament

$450.00

The carved wooden architectural element used to decorate the entryway of a building and it was probably intended to publicize a commercial business. The arched carving depicts a young man standing at either side of the lintel holding a large scroll in their hands that shows remnants of Chinese characters indicating an advertisement of some sort. The cast iron handle was added later for display purposes.
